There are literally hundreds of possibilities when it comes to planning your trip to Malaysia. Apart from the major tourist attractions you could plan your holiday around cultural activities, food or simply shopping. But whatever your reason for visiting Malaysia there are at least four destinations you might want to consider as part of your itinerary.

Pulau Langkawi. If long white sandy beaches fringed with coconut palms and the romantic image of carefree bygone days attract you then this is the place to go. As Malaysia’s most popular tourist resort you are sure to find something to enjoy here any time of the year. From international conferences, arts festivals and cultural exposes, Pulau Langkawi will have you longing to return when you plan your next overseas trip.
St Pauls Hill. The Portuguese inhabited this region from the early 16th century for nearly 150 years. Mulu National Park. Here you will find one of the longest network of caves in the world with a huge central underground chamber which is reputedly big enough to accommodate 40 jumbo jets! Also, in the Deer Cave, is home to a huge population of bats which you can see every evening as they arrive at around 6 PM. Don’t worry about being crowded in with other tourists, this cave is big enough to house Cathedral is the size of London’s St Pauls five times over! Also make a point to visit the Clearwater Cave where you will see beautiful tropical limestone carved out by the constant dripping and movement of water.
Sipidan Island. This island was made famous by the French oceanographer Jacques Cousteau who treated this island as a piece of artwork. Although relatively small, it provides tourists with an unprecedented opportunity to explore on foot one of the world’s most beautiful natural attractions.

Planning your trip to accommodate even some of these truly magical destinations will be easy if you give yourself plenty of time to plan. Don’t forget that holiday insurance is a vital ingredient of any overseas trip as this will give you the peace of mind you need to travel in comfort.

Gay Romantic Travel

Romantic Travel Destinations

When you are planning a gay romantic getaway travel for two, the question comes up about choosing a destination. Do you plan a destination based solely on its merits or do you go through a structured getaway because it caters to the GLBT community? There are different answers with different benefits and drawbacks.

Planning a gay romance getaway for two can either be inspired by the desire to fulfill a wish like surprising your partner with that special trip they’ve always wanted, or it can be about spending time together. When it’s about spending time away from home and responsibilities, going through a structured getaway for gay travel can be a great idea. It simply gives you more freedom and it gives you options.

You can have a lot of fun on your own provided that you did your research. Making sure that the country and its laws are gay friendly is highly recommended and that you get a feel for whether or not you’re likely to be left alone so you can get on with your business. Once you know these things then you can plan out the perfect getaway for the two of you.

]]>

What are you hoping to gain from booking this particular vacation? When you think of romance what are you thinking of and what does your partner think of? There can be plenty of romance in fun and adventure just as there is romance in sweet and subdued. Sometimes staying in your hotel room for the entire vacation can be very romantic, provided that it is your choice.

While booking through a structured vacation package gives you access to all kinds of great destinations and fun things to do, the more important point for many is that you suddenly will have all kinds of real freedom. Your hometown might not react well to hand holding but when it comes to gay romantic trips you get to finally let your hair down and stop the self editing. You are allowed to be who you are without the scowls, the threats, the name calling, and all that other junk in their trunk. You’re just you being you.

Of course, most of us have heard of gay cruises and we know that those who go come back with some really great adventures under their belt. It is in fact a one of a kind vacation and there is something about doing it that is becoming a rite of passage. It’s definitely a top pick for those who just want some time together and some fun choices.

Of course, you’re going to want more options than just cruises. The cool thing about going through structured agencies that cater to the GLBT community is that you can pick from tons of spots, because they work with you to get it done. Overseas visits, ski resorts, safaris, and hot little islands in the South Pacific are a few of the choices you have. Creating some really nice scenery can do wonders for that little romantic getaway.

When you’re trying to plan out a very nice gay romantic vacation you can have some trouble finding the same type of freedom and privacy that you are looking for. While we all can pin up in a hotel room, there really shouldn’t be a reason why we can’t be romantic when we’re outside of the hotel room.

Worlds Most Expensive Travel Destinations

Everybody loves a holiday! Who doesn’t want to lay under a warm sun, with the gentle tide tickling your toes, whilst you sip on an ice cold cocktail?

If you are anything like me then spending some relaxation time in a far away place is always high on my list of priorities. If you have had a little financial windfall, or just want to treat yourself to that extra bit of luxury then why not consider holidaying at one of the most expensive travel destinations in the world?

OK, so where shall we go first? Let’s start with……

Monte Carlo

If you like the lifestyle of the rich and the famous then Monte Carlo will be right up your street! A known tax haven, Monte Carlo is home to some of the richest business people in the world.

Full of expensive restaurants, hotels, and casinos, Monte Carlo is a playboys dream. It is also plays host to several high profile fashion festivals, and well as the world famous Monaco Grand Prix.

Although there are some cheaper hotel options in Monte Carlo, to enjoy the full experience you are going to need a sizable chunk of money. If stylish, and exciting is your bag then this is one destination you should really check out.

The French Alps

]]>

If you like skiing then the Alps is an absolute must. Like Monte Carlo it can be done a little cheaper if you hunt around, however there is a huge amount of luxury chalets and resorts who probably take the lions share of the tourists to the area.

A regular yearly haunt for the successful celebrity or business person, the French Alps is definitely one to go on your list of most expensive holiday destinations.

Paris

In a recent survey France in general actually came out as the most expensive country to visit on holiday. Tourism is always thriving in France with world famous attractions such as The Eiffel Tower and the Champs Elysees being a big draw.

If you are going to visit the most expensive country in the world then why not do it in style, and enjoy one of the capitals beautiful and romantic 5 star luxury hotels.

Dubai

Although fairly reasonable on price when you arrive, the cost of actually staying in and travelling to Dubai make this one of more expensive destinations to visit. Often seen as a playground for the rich, you will find some of the worlds most modern, plush and luxury places to stay in this exciting city.

Disney World

Although this very rarely comes up in surveys of the most expensive holiday destinations in the world, anyone who has “done Disney” will tell you a holiday here is far from cheap. As you can imagine anything brandishing the Disney brand is paid for at a premium, and that includes the hotels on the resort.

In fact a hotel in the resort can actually be as much as 40% more expensive than a hotel that is near by, but not actually in the resort.

On top of that there are the park tickets to pay for, and food and drink is not the cheapest especially on site.

That being said, if you have yet to do a Disney holiday then even though it is one of the most expensive holiday destinations in the world, it is a truly magical experience. Great for families, and “big kids” alike, this holiday destination is one that will make you feel like a child again!

Although the places we have looked at rank as some of the most expensive to visit, bear in mind that in tough economic times there are some amazing deals to be had. You may find a holiday to one of the special places is not as expensive to come by as you’d expect.
